There will be no new grooming happening until after we get some more snow. Grooming would only mess up the decent ski conditions that we currently have for both skate and classic skiing. Get out and hit the trails.
Lights on except for one section
The lights are on but the high winds blew a big spruce down breaking a wire on the Purple. Ed has been out with his chain saw removing this and other blow downs. The broken wire means the upper Blue and a section of the Purple will not be lit till we can repair the damage. We have an extra km of new lights on the Black Extension so there will still be lots of lighted trail for the night skiers.
Only one day left for early bird.
One day remains till New Year’s when the early bird discount ends. Registration is climbing rapidly and is now at 215. Go to https://zone4.ca/register.asp?
Next week Airport Nordic Ski Club is having their Annual General Meeting. If you have a club membership this means you are included in this and we would like to invite you to come out and participate in the AGM.
We will be meeting at the Arts and Culture Centre in one of the meeting rooms at 7:00 pm on Dec 13th.
If you are wanting to become a member of the board this is the time to let us know!
Hope to see you there.
Well folks, that’s a wrap! We were lucky to have such an awesome season! We will not be grooming anymore this season. Feel free to ski or snowshoe on the snow that is left but be cautious as the snow starts to melt even more.
Thank you to all the volunteers and members who make the ski club possible. A big thank you especially to our amazing, hard-working groomers who dedicate their time to make our trails look great.
Even though we are done this season, keep in mind our Junior Program for the 17/18 season will start in the fall. Until then, enjoy the sun!
