The trails are hard and snowshoeing is possible on the whole ski trail system. If you come upon any wet areas avoid breaking through on the skiing surface. We don’t want huge holes on the trails.
The Snow shoe trail from the parking lot to the lake is well packed. There are exposed patches of water in the forest so keep your eyes open. On the Birch trail I wouldn’t recommend going beyond the stream that you meet a few hundred metres past the transmission line. You could have difficulty crossing the stream, the trail beyond hasn’t been beaten down and some ribbons might be missing. The Alder trail is beaten down and so is the Old Pine Trail as far as the Red ski trail.
The lights will be on tonight for snowshoers but the hut will not be open.
