Crazy forecast. Take a break from the trails today.
Terry should be able to groom by 9 am Monday after he gets off his real job so it will be a little later start for the morning skiers tomorrow.
Challenge group. Monday 7:30 pm
Are you interested in training for races? Here is a message from Paul Collett email@example.com
Starting this Monday, the challenge group will be meeting at 7:30 am at the hut. This group is for anyone interested in competitive skiing. Every year we seem to gain a few more members who enjoy the idea of racing so we’ve decided to make it a group thing. Anyone aged 13 and up (yes, that includes adults) who is planning to do a ski race this year is welcomed to attend. There will be varying abilities present so if this idea appeals to you a little bit, don’t hesitate to come out and try it. Sessions will include some drill skiing to improve technique as well as different workouts to get hearts beating a little faster.
(Keep in mind our club hosts the Gander Invitational event on March 12th. PLUS there are many other events across the province worth considering. The xc ski community in NL is very positive and it’s nice to get out and meet people from other clubs . . . and ski new trails. The XCNL event calendar can be found here.)
With that being said, there is a 2 day event happening this coming weekend (January 14-15) in Corner Brook at the Blow Me Down ski club. Corner Brook has some beautiful trails, lots of friendly skiers and their events are always a good time. If anyone is interested in going over for the event, please get in contact with Paul
